2021 ACCP Virtual Annual Meeting Launched!

The 2021 ACCP Virtual Annual Meeting launched on May 3rd and is open for registration! Register today and join your colleagues for a 5-day clinical pharmacology-focused event with topics ranging from research and drug development to patient care. A series of Student, Trainee & Early-stage Professional events will be hosted on Friday, September 10th and the Pre-meeting Workshops will be held September 11th and 12th. There are several new initiatives this year which include a Regulatory Symposium, two Hot Topics Symposia, Poster Sessions that include the ability to chat Virtually with Attendees in private chat rooms and more opportunities for networking. The 5-day meeting will include:

Networking breakout sessions throughout the meeting, including a Virtual Happy Hour and a 30-minute Alumni Meet Up/Networking Event each morning.
Don't forget to register for a Pre-meeting Workshop held on Saturday, September 11th, and Sunday, September 12th prior to the 5-day meeting. All Pre-meeting Workshops offer CME & CPE credit at no additional cost. Space is limited so be sure to register early. Pre-meeting Workshops are available for a separate fee during registration.

ACCP 2021 Recognition Award Winners

In April, ACCP announced the ACCP 2021 Recognition Award Winners. These distinguished individuals were selected by the ACCP Honors & Awards Committee based on outstanding contributions to the global clinical pharmacology community as noted in the criterion for each award. The awardees will be honored during the ACCP 2021 Virtual Annual Meeting. Congratulations to all the award winners!

On June 22nd, ACCP announced the 2021 ACCP Student & Trainee Abstract Award Winners. These distinguished individuals will be recognized during the 2021 ACCP Virtual Annual Meeting for their outstanding research abstracts. They will receive a trophy, a $1,000 honorarium and a complimentary registration to attend the 2021 ACCP Virtual Annual Meeting.

In memory of Dr. Elliot S. Vesell, long-time Fellow, former President & Honorary Regent of ACCP, an award is given to the top Student & Trainee Abstract in the area of pharmacogenomics. The award includes a trophy, a $500 honorarium and a complimentary 5-day registration to the ACCP Annual Meeting.

ACCP/ISoP SIG Student Abstract Award Winner

The ACCP/ISoP Special Interest Group (SIG) identifies areas of submission that are consistent with its focus and Student & Trainee Abstracts within those areas are reviewed and scored by SIG Leadership. The top scoring Student & Trainee Abstract is the recipient of the ACCP/ISoP Student Abstract Award, which includes complimentary 5-day registration to the ACCP Annual Meeting, a $500 honorarium and a trophy.

ACCP New Member Ambassador Program Launched
|
|
The ACCP New Member Ambassador Program, a new initiative developed by the ACCP Membership Committee, launched in Q2 2021 and serves to provide outreach to New Members to answer questions and share information that helps New Members navigate the society and get involved. If you are a New Member and you would like for an Ambassador to reach out to you, please contact KLevy@ACCP1.org. Presentations will be provided on a monthly basis to help all New Members understand how to best utilize ACCP Member Benefits to enhance their careers.

ACCP Fellow Criteria Changes
|
|
Fellowship is the highest category of membership granted by ACCP and, as such, is awarded to those with exemplary credentials and dedication to the betterment of the discipline and provides an opportunity to shape the future of clinical pharmacology. Becoming a Fellow in ACCP is a recognition by your peers of an experience level or a milestone in professional achievement that provides opportunities to participate and contribute to the society at a higher level. Being ever mindful of changes in the clinical pharmacology community, ACCP has updated its requirements for Fellow to be more inclusive across the spectrum of degrees and affiliations.
