Foraging Walks with MyKyah
Saturday, August 14 & Saturday, August 21
11am to 12pm
Tabor Road & Olney Avenue Gateway to Tacony Creek Park, 19120
Foraging became a hobby for many during the Covid-19 shutdown. It's also an important cultural activity for many of our watershed communities.

Join MyKyah, our Alliance for Watershed Education Fellow, for our first edible plant walks in Tacony Creek Park!

During these FREE two 1-hour walks, we'll learn how to identify common plants, the parts that are edible, and look-alike plants that aren't edible. Learn about traditional recipes and medicinal uses of plants you've seen along the trail! No previous experience required.

This Is Nature: Life in the Tookany Creek
Saturday, August 21 from 10:30am to 12pm

Join us for this FREE program jointly hosted with Cheltenham Township.

We’ll wade into the Tookany Creek to collect organisms that live there. We'll create a Biotic Index to rate these organisms, which will tell us about the health of the Creek on that day and at that spot.
