The Corner aims to provide pre-accelerator programming along with flexible and inviting co-working space that transforms business concepts into startup companies. Corner Launchbox is a signature program of Invent Penn State, which is a Commonwealth-wide initiative to spur economic development, job creation and student career success. Our technical advisor Alanna connects companies to resources at Penn State, performs on-site industrial energy efficiency assessments and coordinates building re-tuning training and walk-throughs. Alanna can evaluate energy conservation opportunities as well as assist with preparing project-funding requests through utility rebates, the Small Business Advantage Grant Program, and the Rural Energy for America Program. We Are Hiring Technical Advisors!

We are looking to fill two technical advisor positions - one in the Northeastern PA region and one at Penn State University Park. Follow the links to learn more about each position and apply.

The Small Business Advantage Grant provides 50% matching grants, up to a maximum of $5,000 to enable Pennsylvania small businesses to purchase energy efficient or pollution prevention equipment, or adopt waste reduction processes.

Our team of technical advisors can: 
  • determine if your project qualifies for funding 
  • assist with audit/assessment to gather pertinent data for application 
  • answer questions throughout the process 
  • assist with completing the application 
  • make connections to other funding programs
