The Corner aims to provide pre-accelerator programming along with flexible and inviting co-working space that transforms business concepts into startup companies. Corner Launchbox is a signature program of Invent Penn State, which is a Commonwealth-wide initiative to spur economic development, job creation and student career success. Our technical advisor Alanna connects companies to resources at Penn State, performs on-site industrial energy efficiency assessments and coordinates building re-tuning training and walk-throughs. Alanna can evaluate energy conservation opportunities as well as assist with preparing project-funding requests through utility rebates, the Small Business Advantage Grant Program, and the Rural Energy for America Program. The Small Business Advantage Grant provides 50% matching grants, up to a maximum of $5,000 to enable Pennsylvania small businesses to purchase energy efficient or pollution prevention equipment, or adopt waste reduction processes.
Our team of technical advisors can:
- determine if your project qualifies for funding
- assist with audit/assessment to gather pertinent data for application
- answer questions throughout the process
- assist with completing the application
- make connections to other funding programs
