A CALL BACK TO THE WAR ROOM

I want to share a word that I received today. Nine years ago there was a popular movie called “The War Room.” This film captivated audiences, particularly resonating with the Christian community. The story was about a successful couple named Elizabeth and Tony. They had a beautiful home, a lovely daughter named Danielle, and great jobs. Tony was a pharmaceutical salesman, and Elizabeth was a realtor.

They began having marital problems because Tony’s job required him to travel often, and it took a toll on him and caused him to become abusive. He began selling some of the drug samples for extra income, and almost had an affair with another woman but the Lord prevented it. One day Elizabeth met a client named Miss.Clara, who she formed a special bond with helping her sell her house.

Miss Clara who was an intercessor and had keen discernment sensed that something was wrong with Elizabeth. When she questioned her, Elizabeth confided in her about her arduous relationship with her husband. Miss Clara told her about Jesus and the power of prayer. She brought her into a room which was basically a walk in closet and introduced her to her “War Room”.

She brought her into that secret room with sticky notes all over the walls with scripture verses and prayers. The war room was the place that she met with Jesus. This was where she got on her knees and cried out to God. This was the place where she stood in intercession for her family. She said to Elizabeth “I see a warrior in you that needs to be awakened.” She began to teach Elizabeth how to pray.

She taught her how to stand up against the adversary. She taught her how to take back her life, and how to take back her marriage. Elizabeth went home and built her own war room. The first thing she did was empty out her closet. We need to clean out our old wardrobes and declutter things that no longer serve our higher purpose. She removed everything that was in her way of having a divine encounter with the Lord.

She dedicated this room to be a place of visitation. She went in and began to take authority over her life. She prayed and cried out to Jesus. She decreed and declared over her husband, and her family. Her husband ended up rededicating his life to the Lord, and confessing to his boss. His boss did not press charges. He got a new job and their marriage was restored.

The Lord is showing me that many of you need to get back to the War Room. You need to get back to that place of meeting with God. You need to get back to prayer and intimacy. You need to get back to speaking the Word, praying the Word and living the Word. You need to stand on the scriptures once again, and not allow anything to move you off course. Some of you need to come back to your first love.

This afternoon I was looking at a video of the Israeli Iron Dome defense system. It is amazing how this contraption fires missiles from the ground and intercepts rockets that fly in high arcs, while its Arrow 3 system can stop ballistic missiles outside the atmosphere. It fires radar-guided missiles to blow up short range threats like rockets, mortars and drones in midair.

As I was watching this the Lord said that He has given us the same authority in the spirit realm to intercept the fiery darts of the enemy. Many believers have no clue of the power of their prayers. Jesus is calling us back to our war rooms, back to our closets and to take authority over our personal lives, as well as our families and our nation. It’s time to take back what the enemy stole.

The effectual prayers of a righteous man and women avails much. There is a Warrior inside of you that needs to be awakened.

Matthew 6:5-6

“And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.

John 14:13-14

And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.

1 John 5:14-15

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.
