Memorial Bench for Bob Tate

In honor of our dear friend and colleague, Bob Tate, the Kearney Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors endeavors to purchase a memorial bench at Lions Park and invites the business community to join in the effort.
The park bench installed is $2,650 and includes an 'In Memory Of' plaque.

Bob’s bench will be one of seven placed around the new splash pad and playground due to open in June, 2021.

“With this being in our park I think it hits both children and our community, both things that Bob cared deeply about,” said Board President, Gerri Spencer.

All donors contributing to the memorial bench for Bob will be acknowledged in the June 4 Chamber Chat newsletter.

Any excess funds collected for the bench will be donated to the Kearney Food Pantry per his family's request.

They have created a flyer to explain the details. They are proposing a Kearney Clean Up Competition and are asking businesses to get involved by donating items or gift cards for the prizes.

Business of the Month
We are celebrating
Paisley Candle and Home
as our Business of the Month!

Since their Grand Opening in August 2019 Paisley Candle and Home has quickly become a Kearney favorite! Offering a variety of home décor, hand poured candles (thanks to Terry), boutique items, gourmet foods, and even products to show your love of your pets.
This innovative business kept us all in the shopping habit during the shut-down by offering personal shopping experiences, Paisley Pack deliveries, and porch pick-ups.
You can count on the Paisley staff, Melissa and Greg, to help you pick out that perfect gift or accent piece. They are constantly updating and adding items to the store’s unique and stylish inventory with each new season. As if it couldn’t get any better, they added Paisley Perk to the lineup last spring (shout out to Barista, Natalia).
And now, owner Brian Hamm is about to realize the fruits of his labor after planting 2000 tulip bulbs last October.
Drop by to congratulate and support our business of the month !
