June 2022
IN THIS ISSUE:
Did you know? Amid our current drought, between October 2021 and January 2022, an estimated 236,000 acre-feet (AF) of water was lost to the ocean to protect fish from being pulled into less habitable parts of the Bay-Delta. If the Delta Conveyance Project was operational, the Department of Water Resources estimates that the 236,000 AF would not have been lost and instead delivered via the system. That’s nearly enough water to serve all of Orange County for one year!

In this edition of eCurrents, we’ll look at some unique ways to reduce your water use this summer and eliminate water waste, especially now, during drought. We’ll also see how some of our member agencies and partners celebrated Water Awareness Month. All of this and more in the latest issue of eCurrents!
