Summer isn't always

vacation time.

Summer is a time of

sunshine and warmth,

outdoor activity and fun,

rest and refreshment,

growth and flourishing

in our gardens

and the environment.

Many of us are already enjoying the summer weather and are making plans to enjoy the rest of the season, perhaps even with a vacation!

But, there are many for whom the struggles of life and survival continue. They do not get a vacation from their struggles. Their day to day hardships continue through the dog days of summer.



Out of thanksgiving for our abundance, let us continue to pray for and offer assistance to those for whom summer is not vacation time.
