The National Association of Government Communicators (NAGC) sworn in Tabitha Clark, City of Perry Senior Communications Manager, as its new president on May 12 in Louisville, Kentucky.
She will represent the City of Perry as part of a ten-person Board of Directors whose purpose is to advance communication as an essential professional resource at every level of local, state, tribal, and national government.

Bicycle Ride Across Georgia Is Coming to
Downtown Perry

Bicycle Ride Across Georgia is bringing 1,500 riders into the heart of Perry! Company of Crows will be welcoming the riders into town with a concert on the lawn of the old courthouse on June 6 from 6 - 9PM.
This event is open to all riders, support staff, and local residents! Come shop, dine, and listen to music on a Monday night in historic downtown Perry!
| New and Improved Recreational Scoreboards |
Hargray recently provided $30,000 towards the replacement of our scoreboards at Rozar Park and Creekwood Park. In total, 7 scoreboards have been replaced at Worrall Center Gymnasium, Huckaby Field, Rozar Field, Creekwood Football Field, and the baseball and softball fields at Creekwood Park.
The boards feature an all wireless connection, and is multi-sport capable, allowing use for football, soccer, and baseball.
We hope these new additions will encourage visitors to host and participate in athletic tournaments!

Fall Sports Registration Underway | |
BOT Building 100 will introduce the students to gears, motors, and the principles of robotic engineering.
The students will get to build and take home their own Cyber Crawler Robot!
Rockets & Robots will introduce students to the basic principles of coding, programming, simple machines, gears, motors, and sensors.
Registration closes on June 5th.

The Perry Chess Club is a social, informational, instructional, and competitive meeting place where people come together through Chess!
The club will consist of open/recreational play, rated games, and tournaments.
The first Chess Club Meeting will be held Monday, June 13th, at 6 PM at James E. Worrall Center/Community Room.

Flint Energies Awards Perry Police Department with $10,000 Grant |
Flint Energies Foundation awarded the Perry Police Department, as well as 25 other departments, with $10,000 as part of their mission to support local law enforcement with their public safety efforts.
This donation will be used for training and to purchase protective equipment for officers among other necessary items.

Perry Fire Department Welcomes Two New Firefighters | |
The Perry Fire Department welcomed Firefighter Will Kersey and Firefighter Joseph Henry last month!
Kersey and Henry completed the basic firefighter class, where they were tested both mentally and physically in training to ensure competence and ability at the various levels of basic firefighting.
