Volume 10, Issue 6 | June 2021
Greetings!

I am writing this newsletter from Prescott, AZ, staying in a delightful Airbnb as I work remotely and alternate with finding a place to live. Talk about stress: the lease on my current house, located a two hours’ drive from here, expires July 31st and with the rental market woefully tight, this is my 2nd 4-5 day stay in two weeks. I need to be local so that when something comes on the market, I can jump on it and go see it.

No sooner had I unpacked and set up my office on my first Prescott trip that I learned that my dear friend, Penny, from Sedona days, was more ill than I had realized and was not expected to make it through the night; indeed, she did not.

There must be something about the name Penny, for during my lifetime I have been blessed to know two women by this name who were all about love and light, and served as wise women, big sisters, and confidantes for me. And now they are both on to another adventure, another place.

Samara Christy (her birth name was Penny) left this world April 21, 2018, and now Penny (her birth name was Penelope) Genter has moved on as well (June 15, 2021, three days before her birthday, another June baby like myself). Even though my heart has holes in it from the loss of both, I know their love continues on this plane, and in me. I am grateful and honored to have known them both, to have our paths cross and spend a bit of this journey together (26 and 11 years, respectively). May they be at peace and continue to be blessed—we shall all meet again through the Divine Mystery.

The loss of my friend, relocation tasks and challenges, health concerns, and a chaotic workplace have made this a stressful month. I’ve worked on reminding myself that Spirit is my Source and provides only good to me; letting go and letting God; listening for and following Guidance; and, treating this all as an adventure, for surely Life is that if nothing else!

To balance the stress, uncertainty, and sadness it my life, I’m making this month’s newsletter playful and light!

Let's start with the sweet song Give Yourself to Love, written by Kate Wolf. It's a special treat to see some of my favorite musicians, Peter, Paul, and Mary sing it on "Live with Regis and Kathy Lee."

You, Me, and Spirit

I was a devout atheist until 31 years ago when I "came to believe" in a Power greater than myself. Thanks to hearing the novel idea (well, at least it was to me!) that one could choose their own concept of God--and name too (Spirit, The Great Mystery, All That Is, etc.)--and the workings of synchronicity, I embarked on a new way of thinking, a new way of living, a new way of being in the world and with others. It impacted all aspects of my life and relationships.

Since that time of commencing my conscious spiritual journey, I have endeavored to remember The Presence in all that is, all whom I meet, and all that I do -- including working with clients in my own business and in the corporate world. I strive to be of service and to nurture the human spirit in all environments.
