SAE School Year Opens with Over 3,000 Students from
All Sectors of Israeli Society
It's back to school for more than 3,0000 students in the Society for Advancement of Education's 19 high schools and residences in Israel. Students and staff in schools ranging from Da'at Tvunot Yeshiva to Sindiana - The Arab Youth Village for Leadership are looking forward to the first "back-to-normal year" since 2019.

We are especially proud that four SAE high schools -- Mae Boyar High School, Ein Gedi Middle-Senior High School, Reut High School and Ulpanat Talya -- have received special top-rank recognition from the Ministry of Education. The schools were evaluated on their academic performance, year-on-year improvements, student retention rates, and also on how effectively they instill social values in students, measured by graduates’ national and IDF service. In addition to the recognition, high school teachers in these top-ranked schools will receive a bonus fully funded by the Ministry of Education.

Enrollment is open now for U.S. students for the 2023-24 school year.
SAE's ORT-Netanya Residence Nurtures
Some of Israel's Best Young Athletes
The ORT-Netanya Residential Educational Sports Campus is unique in Israel in that it embraces and nurtures high potential athletes from throughout Israel.

More than half of ORT-Netanya’s 120 students are actively training for participation on national teams or on a professional level in soccer, basketball, tennis, track, judo, volleyball, gymnastics and more. In the past few years there has also been an influx of 15 year old Jewish boys and girls from Ukraine and Russia who have made aliya alone, without their parents, hoping for a better future in Israel.
ORT-Netanya Athletes In the News This Summer
17-year-old Omri Kiuf (center), a talented winger, was signed to a three year contract by Hapoel Haifa of the Israeli Premier League.
Ivan Leizerov set a personal best record in the 400 meters at the Under 18 European Youth Championships with a time of 49.29 seconds.
The ORT-Netanya residence, like SAE's other eight residences, is truly home for the students. From the director to the coordinators and counselors the staff cares for each and every child as "parents". And as "parents" to high-potential young athletes they make sure the students have top coaches, therapists and equipment, drive them to early morning practices and distant competitions and more. This is of course to making sure they excel in school and have full social and emotional support.

Financing for these activities does not come from the Ministry of Education, but from a variety of independent sources, including the SAE Student Assistance Fund.
Change a Life --
Make a Difference in Israel!
The SAE Student Assistance Fund provides vital basic support to talented students from low income and distressed families living in SAE’s residences, including assistance for transportation, clothing, glasses, dental care, even food. During the school closures caused by COVID-19 the Student Assistance Fund also provided more than 200 students with computers and internet connections so they could continue their studies from home.

This assistance enables students to remain in school, realize their full academic potential and contribute to Israeli society. The need for support continues. Your help is appreciated! Thank You for Your Donation
