April is National Volunteer Month, a month dedicated to recognizing the importance of volunteering and honoring the significant contributions volunteers make by generously donating their time and talents to worthy causes.

We are recognizing the following two organizations
that have been valued Carver Center partners.
RYE YMCA

Through its Togetherhood community service initiative and staff efforts, the Rye YMCA has been supporting Carver Center programs since 2019.
They have brought staff and volunteers to work in our Carver Market,
held food and toy drives, taught water safety to children through their
Safety Around Water program, helped promote donation opportunities,
and connected us with a dedicated corps of volunteers, all with the goal of helping Port Chester families.
LADIES PHILOPTOCHOS SOCIETY

The Ladies Philoptochos Society of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church
of New Rochelle reached out to us prior to the pandemic as they
were very interested in becoming regular volunteers at our
monthly Senior Breakfast.

When the pandemic hit, they were willing and able to quickly pivot
to help us in our Carver Market as feeding our community became
our number one priority.

They continue to volunteer their time and efforts every month.
