Apply for Washington County commissions
The Washington County Administrative Office is seeking applications from people interested in serving on a County board or commission that advises the Board of Commissioners on decisions impacting the community.

Members of these boards, commissions and committees are volunteers appointed by the Board. See the media release. Committees with vacancies focused on land use and transportation issues include:

The 12 RROMAC members serve four-year terms and work with County staff to develop program-and-funding alternatives and to make recommendations to the Board. Members work or live in rural Washington County and have interests in rural roads.

The committee meets at 7:30 a.m. the second Thursday of most months. More information.

This committee reviews the proposed North Bethany County Services District for Roads (NBCSDR) budget. The committee includes the Board and five NBCSDR residents. Each resident member serves a three-year term.

The committee holds two three-hour meetings every spring: the first to provide a budget overview and the second to conduct a public hearing. Following the public hearing, the committee is asked to act on the budget. Additional meetings may be required. More information.
