Presbyterian Disaster Assistance

Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA) enables congregations and mission partners of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A) to witness to the healing love of Christ through caring for communities adversely affected by crisis and catastrophic event.

Presbyterian Disaster Assistance
  • Focuses on the long term recovery of disaster impacted communities.

  • Provides training and disaster preparedness for presbyteries and synods.

  • Connects partners locally and internationally with key organizations active in the response — United Nations, NVOAD (National Voluntary Agencies Active in Disaster), World Food Program, Red Cross, FEMA and others.

How Do I Contribute?
Simply write a check to NLPC with "PDA" in the memo line or click on the button below and choose Second Mile Offering. Questions? Contact Ruth at 352-753-8484.

We celebrate Pentecost on Sunday and there are so many important things to learn about this event. Here is a video that makes it a little easier to understand!
KIDS

VBS:
It’s here! This time next week we will be halfway through VBS. We would love it if you could pray for the kids to hear God’s True Word and for the adults to have enough energy (😊) to make it through the week but more importantly, to be able to show the kids how amazing God is!

Summer Crew:
Do you have some free time on a Wednesday afternoon to sit in an air conditioned room and have stories read to you? The Summer Crew tutoring program starts soon and we need some volunteers to help the Little Blessings kids with their basic reading and math skills. This would be a great opportunity for a Men’s Group or a PW Circle to volunteer. We only have seven weeks so if we could get seven groups to pick a week, you would only have to volunteer one time. Of course, you are more than welcome to help more often because as always, the snacks are going to be good…and the kids are always so much fun!
Please consider and pick up a volunteer application at the Children’s Desk or at the Children’s Cart by the Sunday school classrooms.
Youth:
This is a great video that goes a little more in depth on the importance of Pentecost and how it impacts us now.
O Lord, we pray for...

Dedicate A Bouquet
Nothing says you care more than flowers. We've made it easy to dedicate a lovely fresh bouquet of flowers in North Lake's worship spaces on specific dates in honor, or in memory of a loved one. Cost is $20 and you may take them home after the service you attend, but please leave the vase at the church. Forms available in the lobby or CLICK HERE to print a form and return to the church office. Please place order at least 2 weeks prior to date requested.
North Lake Presbyterian Church is searching for a Visitation Pastor to serve approximately 15 hours per week. Duties include: hospital visits, rehab and care facility visits, along with home visits when needed. We would also like the pastor to participate in worship on occasion. Applicants may email resume to: Pastor Lynn Miller at lmiller@northlakepc.org
