Welcome to our newsletter. Once a month we will update you with news about David Matero Architecture and our community. We welcome your comments, questions and feedback.
On the Drawing Board
We are moving into Design Development on a newly designed home in Blue Hill. We have been coordinating with our mechanical engineer to create an energy efficient home with a view towards the future (and water). The contractor, Jon D Woodward & Sons, is planning for summer construction.
Views from the Jobsite
Mechanical and electrical rough-in is well on its way at this lakeside addition / renovation in Lyman. Finishes and fixtures have been chosen, and the clients are already envisioning themselves on the new deck and screened porch enjoying the sights and sounds of the lake. Construction by Rideout & Turner.
Georgetown's New South
The main part of the Georgetown's New South house is completely framed. it looks a little squat now, but this view will greatly improve once the screen porch is framed, Windows are a little behind schedule, but will be here by the end of the month. Construction by Chartier Building and Remodeling.
Summer Cottage
This Summer Cottage on Bailey Island has been transformed with a large addition to the north, while maintaining its cottage presence. Most of the interior of the original cottage, including the center three story tower with new windows and siding, remains. Circulation, however, will seamlessly flow from new to the old while still allowing the owners the flexibility to stay in the new, smaller, wing. Construction by Oceanside Builders.
Bath Winterfest
Next week will be the second annual Bath Winterfest, which begins with a lantern parade down Front Street Friday evening. Check out the MSB website for a list of actives, many of which are free. Cathy is directing a musical revue at the Chocolate Church February 10 and 11,Studio Theatre of Bath's Impossibly Romantic at 7:30pm both evenings.
