News from Christ Church

February 1, 2023

Dear friends,

This Saturday, the vestry will take its annual day-long retreat. It's good timing in the life of the church -- we've just spent time at the annual meeting reviewing what Christ Church has been up to in the past year. Saturday will be a time for looking forward and discerning our roles as stewards of this holy place.

I point you to the list of vestryfolk always appended to this newsletter, updated to reflect our new membership. I ask your prayers for each of them, and me, as we set ourselves to the work ahead. Here's a good one from our own Book of Common Prayer:

Almighty and everliving God, ruler of all things in heaven and earth, hear our prayers for this parish family. Strengthen the faithful, arouse the careless, and restore the penitent. Grant us all things necessary for our common life, and bring us all to be of one heart and mind within your holy Church; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

faithfully,

Amber
