Sep 17, 2022 BDG Workshop - Saving Seeds for Our Future

If you want to increase your gardening knowledge and skills, the Bellevue Demonstration Garden (BDG) Workshop series is for you! A broad range of topics covering plants and methods that work in the Pacific Northwest will be discussed. These workshops are offered to the general public and are appropriate for both beginning and experienced gardeners. Many of the workshop speakers are sought after horticulture educators by PNW gardening organizations -- several were featured at the Feb 2022 NW Flower & Garden Show in Seattle.

The speaker for the presentation is Master Gardener Colleen Donahue. Colleen will teach the essentials of saving flower and vegetable seeds. Saving seeds is a rewarding activity that helps preserve biodiversity, reduces gardeners’ dependence on commercial seed supplies, and increases the bounty you can grow in your own garden. Colleen is an enthusiastic seed saver with years of experience that she loves to share with gardeners who wish to become their own DIY seed savers.

There is a modest fee of $5 per workshop this year. Also available is a Series subscription which gives you the option to purchase all thirteen July-Oct BDG workshops for $49, a 25% discount off the total cost.  Plus..... BDG workshops are being recorded and sent to all registered participants after each workshop. Watch at your convenience if not able to attend on Saturday.

Descriptions & links to all BDG workshop registrations including the July-Oct BDG Workshop Series 3 subscription are available on the BDG Workshops web page at https://mgfkc.org/education/bdg-workshops. You have the option to register for the Series subscription or to register for workshops individually.
