Good Afternoon Trevor!
So two weeks ago it was sunny and 70. Today, we are shaking off last night's snow squalls and bundling up for the brisk breeze. Back to Cleveland weather.
This time of the year it is very easy to get excited about the garden and pastures. But we must remain patient as too early of a spring will surely spell disaster. The chance of frost in April is pretty much 100%. That means that if sensitive crops - like strawberries and peaches - are to bloom, the buds will easily be burnt off by the frost, destroying the potential. Last year we saw a similar situation. Our last frost was May 12. At that point, most all the strawberry blossoms were burnt off.
But speaking of summer, today is the last day to get the Early Bird Pricing for our Summer 2024 season. If you haven't signed up yet, please sign up by this evening for the best pricing. This early commitment is important to our growers to know how much to grow.
