REFLECTIONS, MEMORIES, AND HIGHLIGHTS
Confetti and glitter decorates the asphalt, as we say goodbye to the 52nd Annual Pride Parade and Celebration. What started out as a cold and gray day mirroring our feelings about the recent Supreme Court of the United States decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, just two days before, turn bright and sunny as the LGBTQIA+ community and allies stepped out onto Market Street.

Back were the sea of rainbow flags, colorful t-shirts and costumes, shimmering floats, and beaming participants to remind us each year that we pick this day... week... month to celebrate being out, proud, and loud.

Our local heroes: Vinny Eng, the African American Art & Culture Complex, Melanie DeMore, Socorro Moreland, Black, Amber Gray, with Lifetime Achievement Grand Marshal Andrea Horne, joined Celebrity Grand Marshals Jeopardy's Amy Schneider and Good Trouble's Sherry Cola riding amid flanking bystanders cheering, clapping, and whistling.

At Civic Center, the Kaiser Permanente Main Stage was host to lots of entertainment and relevant speakers both Saturday and Sunday. A pity that headliner Martha Wash's set was interrupted and cut short. As Karl the Fog rolled back in and hid the sun, we were all, for the most part, just glad to be back, together, after three years of pandemic.

Coming up on September 10th is our Annual General Membership Meeting – and the date of record to join SF Pride, so you can cast your vote on Board of Directors and the 2023 theme, is Monday, July 11th.
CLOSE OUT "GIVE OUT DAY" AND PRIDE MONTH WITH A GENEROUS DONATION TO YOUR COMMUNITY!
Your generous donation could help us fund services offered by our annual Community Partners Program consisting of over 20 local nonprofits. Or it could assist us in our goal to providing greater accessibility for all. San Francisco Pride is more than an organization that produces the Pride event at the end of June each year — we recognize and elevate heroes within our community, create opportunities for a sharing of information and networking among LGBTQI+ organizations. We come together as a whole. So please consider us today and every day, when choosing where to send your donation on Give OUT Day!
Photos Coming Soon – Check Our Website!
As we get photographs of the Parade and Celebration, we'll post several as well as some links submitted by our photographers, so you can relive the excitement of the past weekend! You'll also find our Parade Awards Voting form, to select the "best of the best" parade contingent when we opens the poll in the next couple of weeks. Visit sfpride.org often!
