Summer Fun

Bath County’s location in the mountains of Virginia, west of the Shenandoah Valley, means temperatures are usually a few degrees cooler than other parts of Virginia. The conditions are perfect for a round of golf on the award-winning courses at The Omni Homestead Resort. Take a walk or bike ride on a trail and enjoy fresh air, solitude and bird and wildlife viewing. If you have always wanted to learn to fly fish, this is your chance to take lessons or a guided fishing tour.

Take It Easy
Relaxation is what made Bath County famous. Visitors have been making the journey here for hundreds of years to experience the natural mineral springs. Even though the historic Warm Springs Pools are currently closed for renovation, there are opportunities to visit a local spa. Another great way to de-stress is stargazing into the night sky. The dark sky conditions are ideal because of Bath County’s location far from city lights and major highways. Another reason that you’ll go home relaxed and rejuvenated is because you’re sure to get a good night’s sleep in Bath County. The lodging options here are second to none. Options include a grand resort, private vacation rentals, independent motels, a unique farm stay, several award-winning B&Bs, all with their own history and personality.

Dine
When you’re on vacation, let someone else do the cooking. In Bath County, there are some talented chefs creating exceptional cuisine, including farm-to-table dishes when possible. Chances are good that you’ll discover your new favorite chef and want to return to see what he or she has created next.
