Women’s Herstory March


Join us for a march around campus on Tuesday, March 26 at 12:30 p.m. with our campus female leaders to celebrate Women's Herstory Month! We will be meeting at the South Entrance of the Student Center, next to the Diesel-Zilla, and walk around the campus (ADA accessible). Afterward, learn how to run for Associated Student Body for the 2024-2025 school year in the Student Center across from UNITE!

Become a Student Leader! Applications Due April 2

Student elections are coming up! Do you want to make a difference in your college experience and that of your classmates? Run for a student leadership position! To apply for the ARC Associated Student Body elections, including positions in the Student Senate and the Clubs and Events Board, all candidates must complete an online application, candidate biography, and campaign statement by Tuesday, April 2 at 5:00 pm.


Want to represent the student perspective on the Los Rios Board of Trustees? Consider running for the districtwide Student Trustee position!

Learn the Secrets of the Queendom

Celebrate Women’s History Month with an interactive and empowering session that highlights the remarkable leadership of Black women in higher education on Friday, March 29, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, at the Sacramento City College Performing Arts Center. In collaboration with the Los Rios Black Faculty and Staff Association, attendees will delve into the triumphs, lessons, and collective strength of five inspiring leaders. March Money Madness


Learn about free money for education at the March Money Madness scholarship workshop on Tuesday, March 26 at 10:30 am and 11:30 am or on Wednesday, March 27 at 11:00 am and 12:00 pm in the UNITE Center. Get information on how to find scholarships that might work for you and get assistance with your application and personal statement. Don’t miss out!

On Wednesday we Make Tote Bags!


Come to the Center for Leadership and Development in the Student Center on Wednesday, March 27 from 12:00 to 3:00 pm to get crafty and make your own tote bag! Supplies will be included while they last. Come hang out, listen to music, and connect with other students while making your personalized tote.

Financial Aid Priority Deadline is April 2

The priority deadline for submitting your 2024-2025 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or California Dream Act Application (CADAA) is Tuesday, April 2. However, information is rapidly changing, and the deadline may be further extended. We suggest that you begin the process today. This will ensure you have time to address any questions that may come up as you complete the application. Visit the Financial Aid and Fees webpage for more assistance and helpful resources!

School Teacher/Leader Career Fair

Are you ready to embark on an exciting career in education? Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) and the SCOE School of Education are hosting an education career fair on Saturday, March 23, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at SCOE’s David P. Meaney Education Center (10474 Mather Blvd., Mather, CA 95655). The School Teacher/Leader Career Fair is the premiere opportunity for local educators and aspiring teachers to engage with more than 20 local employers.


Participants will be able to:
