Break out your record players and rediscover vinyl at the Cleveland Avenue Branch Library. Many libraries have been bidding a farewell to vinyl. Vinyl was left behind when cassettes tapes, CDs, MP3 players and then digital streaming emerged. It’s clear that the revival of vinyl is well underway and truly making a comeback. The Cleveland Avenue Branch is one of the few branches of the Fulton County Library System that maintains a collection of vinyl records.
The Cleveland Avenue Branch has approximately 110 LP record albums. The collection primarily consist of classic pop rock, jazz, R & B, blues and gospel. Some of the featured artist include the Beatles, Jimmy Hendrix, Muddy Waters, Bruce Springsteen, Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Etta James and many more.
Stop by the Cleveland Avenue Branch and browse this unique collection or you may place a hold request on an item and have it transferred to another branch location for pickup. There will always be a limitless supply of music available through streaming, but vinyl is a physical and unique media for enjoying and experiencing music or what is referred to as old school.
