For generations, Nazarenes have supported the World Evangelism Fund. Working together, we accomplish so much as the Body of Christ. Become a part of missions work and partner with the Church of the Nazarene to make Christlike disciples in the nations. In the Funding the Mission plan, the World Evangelism Fund is the vehicle through which we deliver the message of hope - and your church drives that mission. FTM Report -October

NMI Calendar 2021-2022

It’s November, mid-point during a very busy season of the year. It’s a time when one can find it hard to catch one’s breath from shopping, planning, preparing family and friend get-togethers and just living life. I can’t stress enough the importance of making and/or taking the time to fellowship with Jesus; send hours if you have them, half hours, fifteen minutes or minutes multiple times a day communing with him in order to remember your priorities and be recharged by his love!
This month’s emphasis is our “Thanks Offering”. How thankful are you? I challenge you to sit quietly sometime in the next few days and jot down all the blessings God has given you during the year. How much would you give for family members, your home, your vehicle, food on your table, etc., and that’s not to mention the joy of salvation! You’d probably give more than you own, have to take out a loan and not be able to borrow enough. Now think of those who have little to none of the blessings you’ve been given.
Generosity is a biblical principle that reflects God’s love and mercy to us through His Son, Christ Jesus. It also reminds us that the move we give, the greater the harvest! Give generously to the “Thanks” offering, even if it’s less than you would like it to be.
Don’t forget November is the designated month to pray for the persecuted church. Remember her all year long!
This is also the month we should be preparing and sending out Christmas greeting and gifts to our missionaries. Let’s make this the best Christmas yet for them with an amazing amount of cards full of love, support and thanks for being the hands and feet of Jesus!

Mission trip opportunity in 2022.
VBS/SPORTS CAMPS
The local church has a deep desire to minister to their community. One way we help fulfill that desire is by partnering with to host VBS and sports camps. Through the resources our teams provide, we are able to evangelize not only to the children of the community but to the adults as well.
CONSTRUCTION
It all begins with a need. Churches in need. We have brought new life to churches with a fresh coat of paint. We have restored churches with a new ceiling. We have planted churches with a new building and much more. Whatever the need, our teams will work to get it completed.
MEDICAL CLINICS
In 2018, we began offering medical clinics at our site locations. We have medical professionals who volunteer their time and supplies in order to serve the community and their physical needs. Doctors and nurses on your team would have an opportunity to use their skills to minister to others.

Pekin First - Kidzone Pastor
Shawna grew up in Southeast Texas where she spent just about every weekend on the river or at the beach. After high school she moved to Illinois to live with relatives and attend college. Shawna graduated from Western Illinois University with a B.S. in Public Communication and Human Relations. Many steppingstones have led Shawna to her current position, including hotel guest services Manager, retail training manager, legal secretary, and in most recent years KidZone Assistant at PFN. Shawna started attending Pekin First Nazarene in 2010 with the invite from her husband (2011) and immediately began her journey and walk with Christ. She has volunteered in KidZone teaching Sunday school and leading the Preteen Worship Services. Shawna felt the call to ministry and enrolled in the Ministry Preparation Program at Nazarene Bible College in the fall of 2020. She currently holds her Local Minister’s License in the Church of the Nazarene and is pursuing her District License. Shawna currently serves as KidZone Pastor at PFN. She is married to Richard Marsh (2011), and they have two sons, Logan (2005) and Reed (2013). Shawna enjoys playing board games, bags in the backyard, traveling, Mexican food and donuts. She also loves to organize and plan. She considers it an absolute privilege to share Jesus with others, especially with her youngest friends in KidZone. Shawna has found her purpose while attending and serving at PFN. She is very thankful for the sacrifice of Jesus and the transformation He has made in her life. Ephesians 2:8-9

Church Multiplication Endowment Fund
Give a GIFT that doesn't stop Giving!
Would you give $1.00 a month if it never stopped giving, never wore out, never changed its usefulness or purpose and transformed lives?
The Church Multiplication Endowment Fund is designed to reach unreached people living on the NWIL District for Christ. Every dollar given will continue to give in perpetuity. An endowment fund uses the interest from the principle to do kingdom work. Will you help fund this goal?
Currently, our district property funds have been invested in planting 22 new churches these past three years and the district is in need of capital to continue to plant more! We need your help. Presently, there are 36 more potential church plants in various stages of planning which will require additional funding support.
Would you consider a GIFT of $1.00 a month? We are not trying to take money from your local ministry where you give your tithes and offerings. We are asking for many to give a little. Our initial goal is 5,000 giving at least $1.00 a month. Would you be one of those 5,000 making a commitment to create a movement to plant churches that change lives? Here are ways to give:
- You can give to your local church by marking your check or cash gift "NWIL CM Endowment" and your church treasurer will take it from there.
-
You can also choose to give online if you want to set up one time or reoccurring payments using debit/credit/Electronic Check on the district website at nwilnaz.org/GIVE/ On District Church Planting or direct CM Endowment Giving LINK. Or scan this QR code at the bottom of this article.
- You can send a check or cash to NWIL District, 3520 Broadway St., Pekin, IL 61554 (please indicate CM Endowment on check memo)
We are also looking for those who might like to make greater kingdom investments!
You can give cash, stocks, bonds, real estate, livestock, grain, or other personal property. Basically, any asset of marketable value can be used to help fund this endowment. There are also charitable gift annuity options that allow you to specify the endowment fund or another ministry of your choice while allowing you to receive income for your lifetime and when you pass, your gift goes to the endowment fund or specified ministry. CLICK HERE to see other ways to model generosity. Gifts can be given in memory or in honor of someone.
Large or small: Why not leave a lasting legacy that lasts more than your lifetime.
For more information or confidential consultation please contact NWIL District Administrator, Jim Book 309-678-2357; NWIL District Treasurer, Ray Barker 309-645-7716; or the Nazarene Foundation directly at 913-577-2983.
