VyStar Partners With The Foundation
In March, Seminole County Public Schools held its annual Employee of the Year Celebration to honor the support staff that work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep our A-rated school district going strong!

We were thankful to have VyStar Credit Union join us as the Presenting Sponsor for the first time. "VyStar works with students across the communities we serve to teach them about the importance of financial wellness and preparing for life after graduation," said VyStar President/CEO Brian Wolfburg. "We are proud to support Seminole County Public Schools in honoring the educators and support staff who share in our commitment to empowering our next generation of leaders and invest in their students every day."

The Foundation is proud to support this district event that celebrates our amazing support staff who always go above and beyond!

There's Still Time To Support Education
Haven't signed up for our all-new event, Tee It Up Together? Sponsorships are still available for this nearly SOLD OUT event that benefits not only The Foundation for Seminole County Public Schools but also The Foundation for Seminole State College.

If you can't swing a sponsorship, you can still show your support to help us make the day a hole-in-one!
We're looking for donations such as dining gift cards, unique experiences, retail gift cards, golf equipment, weekend getaways, wine, liquor, and gift baskets. These items will be used to raise necessary funds the day of the tournament to help reach our goals. Donate today!

From playing, sponsoring, and donating player gifts, there are many ways to make a difference for students and teachers of SCPS.
Investing in Future Healthcare Workers
Thank you to Orlando Health for investing in future healthcare professionals through Seminole County Public Schools!

Their $50,000 grant to The Foundation for Seminole County Public Schools supported the revitalization of the Academy of Health Careers (AOHC) magnet program at Seminole High School in Sanford. With the support of this grant funding, students within the magnet program are provided with an authentic and relevant foundation to explore a variety of health care careers.

New Scholarship Opportunity
Thank you to Darvin & Chris Boothe for their recent $28,000 donation to The Foundation for Seminole County Public Schools! This donation established the Boothe "Meet the Challenge" Scholarship.

This endowed scholarship will provide a $1,000 college scholarship annually for a senior from Lake Brantley High School. "We established the Boothe Family 'Meet the Challenge' Scholarship to recognize Lake Brantley High School students who overcome obstacles and to encourage them to continue to transform their lives through education." stated Darvin, retired Lake Brantley High Principal. We appreciate Darvin and Chris' passion for education and helping to transform the lives of students who've already overcome so much!

The deadline for high school seniors to apply for a Foundation scholarship is March 27th.

Have You Heard?
For 35 years, this community has entrusted us with a generous pool of resources to make a significant, lasting impact on our high-achieving school district.

We invite you to celebrate these successes within our 2020-2021 Annual Report as if they are your own because they are. Thank you for your continued support and partnership!

Thank you to FARO Technologies for supporting STEM in Seminole County Public Schools! Their $10,000 donation will support SCPS's third Physics bus focused on Electricity!

This bus will soon be traveling to elementary schools throughout the district. It will introduce students specifically to physics and its relation to math in a hands-on way that is fun and challenging.
