FY25 Law Enforcement Protection Fund (LEPF) Application Open

Applications must be completed and submitted no later than March 31, 2024.

Three essential components in the submission of the online application:

  1. Each section in the application must be completed;
  2. The Mayor, County Commission Chair, School Superintendent, CFO AND the police chief or sheriff - not their designees - must sign the Certification Form to be uploaded with the application; and
  3. The official roster from the Acadis portal must be uploaded with the application and must include the names of each full-time certified police officer being claimed for this funding.

To be eligible for the $1,500 award the officer must be certified by July 1, 2024; for officer funding, their name must appear on the March 31, 2024 Acadis roster or the officer must be enrolled in the NM Police Academy with anticipated graduation date on or prior to July 1, 2024. 2024-2025 Wildfire Risk Reduction Program

Applications Due to BLM by March 1, 2024 & Due to NMC by April 5

The grant program assists communities throughout New Mexico in reducing their risk from wildland fire on non-federal lands.

Funding categories include:

  • CWPP updates up to $25,000/project
  • Education and outreach activities up to $20,000/project
  • Hazardous fuels reduction projects up to $100,000/project

NACo Presidential Appointment Process for 2024-2025

The presidential appointments application process is now open. The form must be completed by anyone who would like to be considered for a leadership appointment on a Policy Steering, Standing or Ad Hoc committee for the 2024–2025 presidential year. The online application form is available HERE. The deadline for submitting your application is 11:59 p.m. EDT on April 26, 2024.

 

These appointments are for:

NMDOT Recreation Trails Program (RTP) and Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP)

RTP provides federal reimbursement funding to maintain recreational trails and facilities for both non-motorized and motorized uses.


TAP provides federal reimbursement funding for bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure and activities.
