From our Executive Director
At Disability:IN Wisconsin, our commitment to serving our members and fostering an inclusive environment for individuals with disabilities remains our focus and priority. With that in mind, we are excited to share several new initiatives and resources to support Disability:IN Wisconsin's business community.

Throughout 2024, Disabilty:IN Wisconsin will offer a series of events delving into the intricacies of the Disability Equality Index (DEI) and providing valuable insights into how organizations can measure and advance disability inclusion practices. This series will focus on the DEI and its role in advancing workplace inclusion. Register here for our first webinar on March 28th.

Another initiative to support our community is our Neurodiversity@Work educational series, offering a platform to discuss best practices for supporting neurodivergent individuals in the workplace and harnessing their unique talents. From healthcare and technology to manufacturing and finance, this series explores how embracing neurodiversity can drive innovation, productivity, and employee satisfaction. Each session will delve into industry-specific strategies and best practices for promoting neurodiversity and creating environments where all individuals can thrive. In addition, in collaboration with Good Friend, Inc. we are excited to offer Disability:IN Wisconsin member companies an exclusive, internal screening of the documentary "Neurodiversity at Work," an inspiring training film showcasing the talent of neurodivergent employees from diverse industries. Please contact us if your company is interested in sharing this documentary with your team.

Our third educational program is our Mental Health@Work webinar series, which will equip organizations with the tools and knowledge needed to support employee well-being and foster a culture of mental health awareness. This series delves into four key pillars essential for cultivating a mentally healthy workplace: Mental Health Strategy; Workforce Involvement & Engagement; Resources & Benefits; and Measuring, Monitoring, and Reporting. More information about our first webinar will be announced in the coming weeks.

Additionally, we are thrilled to announce on May 15, 2024, we will be hosting the inaugural Disability:IN Wisconsin Career Fair, a groundbreaking opportunity for employers to connect with talented individuals with disabilities. Hosted by ManpowerGroup, this event will serve as a platform for companies to showcase their commitment to diversity and inclusion while providing job seekers with valuable networking and employment opportunities. We invite employers across all industries to join us in this important initiative and make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals with disabilities. By participating in the Disability:IN Wisconsin Career Fair, you will not only gain access to a diverse talent pool and gain valuable knowledge and strategies for building diverse talent pipelines, but also demonstrate your organization's dedication to creating inclusive workplaces where everyone can thrive. Click here for more information and to register.

These new program offerings and events allow us to better serve our members and foster a culture of inclusion in the workplace across Wisconsin. We want to express our sincere gratitude to each and every one of you for your continued support of Disability:IN Wisconsin.
