Vintage eBay Scout Auctions This Weekend
In January I printed 1,000 copies of my 1-page TOR calendar so I could include them in eBay orders and take them to the shows I was attending. Today I've spent a few hours adding newly announced shows to the calendar and updating my website. Holy Cow brothers there are a lot of TORs! Some weekends are three deep this spring!
I've sent emails to a few TOR sponsors where I don't have a flier yet to add to the website. My simple idea has been I can't possibly make fliers of relevant shows and mail them out to orders in neighboring states. So my 1-page calendar is simple enough with the important details. My goal is to update it about 1/month with the current year events. Fun fact I have tracked 52 TORs happening in 2024!
Check out the 229 live auctions I have running including about 150 that will end this weekend. On eBay I am about to finish my 2nd consecutive month having met my ambitious listing goal. I will close out February having listed 100 new items per day to my store since January 1st. The items are a mixture of auctions and fixed priced items. I've got some great help here at the warehouse and we are working every day to turn things around quickly and get items posted.
Sunday I'm driving down to my hometown of Sumter, SC to attend the council reception where I am one of four Scouters receiving the Silver Beaver. Greg McDaniel who is a big Philmont collector is also one of the recipients. The other two Scouters include a long time volunteer from the Camden area and the outgoing council president.
