FRASER VALLEY RUSH
AL WOZNEY (10th season)
Al Wozney finished his minor hockey with the Burnaby Winter Club, winning the 1982 Air Canada Cup National Midget Championship, then going on to play Junior A Hockey with the Burnaby Bluehawks of the BCJHL. After injury ended his playing days, Al took up coaching in 1983 in Toronto, then coached in Newfoundland and Labrador. In 2001, he returned to BC to coach in Richmond. After 35 years of coaching, Al transitioned into management of sport programs and tournaments.
"I am very proud and honored to give back to the game I love. BC Hockey has afforded me some tremendous opportunities but none greater then the opportunity to assist young female athletes achieve their goals and dreams," said Wozney. "I am grateful to return as general manager of the Fraser Valley Rush and to be able to be a part of the continued growth of female hockey in BC"
