Reception for Jane Holt this Sunday
THIS Sunday following the 10:15 service, we will honor our long-serving treasurer, Jane Holt, as she hands over the baton, with a reception in the Dining Room. Please plan to be with us!
Save the Date:
Black History Month Brunch
On Sunday, February 26, after 10:15 service, a festive brunch in honor of Black History Month will be served in the Dining Room. Please save the date!
Lenten Bible Study
This Lent, our Priest-in-Charge will be leading a Bible study following the 10:15 service. The topic will be the Psalms, but not just any Psalms: we will read what are called the imprecatory Psalms (69, 109, etc). These verses explore the depths of human experience, the good, the bad, and the ugly, and provide a wonderfully rich opportunity for Lenten reflection. Recommended reading is C.S. Lewis’s wonderful book, Reflections on the Psalms, which may be purchased inexpensively through Amazon. Sundays beginning March 5, in the Lloyd Library, following the 10:15 service.
St. John’s Community Foundation Grantee Highlight:
SilverSource
SilverSource is one of the non-profit organizations the St. Johns Community Foundation supports. SilverSource helps to advance the dignity, independence, and quality of life of older adults and their families by providing supportive services, engaging in community partnerships and advocating for sound public policies. Their purpose is to provide a safety net to older residents in need, to keep a roof over their heads, with the heat and lights on, food on the table and the medical care they need. Their vision is a society that ensures older adults have the resources to live independent, healthy, and fulfilled lives. To learn more, go to https://silversource.org.
Coffee Hour Signup
Coffee hour is made possible by the generosity of members of the parish, who provide simple snacks each week following the 10:15 service. A signup sheet is posted outside the library: there is no minimum commitment! Please contact the junior warden, Olive Grant, with any questions.

St. John’s Tuesday Afternoon Bible Study meets every week at 2:00 pm via Zoom.
