On Tuesday, we welcomed over 250 theatre job seekers into the Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department building for networking, industry discussions, resume reviews, headshot sessions, mock speed interviews, and more! We want sincerely thank everyone who had a hand in making this event a success from our tablers to our panelists to our attendees! We can’t wait to do it again next year.

Customer Intervention and De-escalation Workshop


The League of Chicago Theatres is hosting a Virtual Customer Intervention and De-escalation Workshop on Thursday, June 27 from 4-5pm that is free for all members and business affiliates of the League. This workshop will be led by Long-Time Customer Service and De-escalation Expert, Myra Golden. Please RSVP and fill out the link to attend. The form links to a questionnaire that will help Myra tailor her workshops to your objectives and focus on gathering research as efficiently as possible.

Goodman Theatre - There's still time to register for a special event for emerging and early career BIPOC theatre directors and designers. Moderated by Northwestern Directing Fellow Danielle Roos and Maggio Directing Fellow Jamal Howard, this networking opportunity will feature panelists Evelyn Danner (Costume Designer, Joe Turner's Come and Gone) Hamid Dehghani (Director, English) and Vaneh Assadourian (Language and Dialect Coach, English). Public Safety Roundtable - Join M.Harris and Co on Monday, May 20 for a private conversation with Chicago Police Department Superintendent Larry Snelling on public safety efforts in Chicago. The discussion will be moderated by Jim Kirk, Crain's Group Publisher and Executive Editor. Given the importance of this topic, members of the PR Roundtable are allowed to bring one executive-level guest from your organization. Space is limited so we encourage you to register as soon as possible.

Fleetwood Jourdain Theatre has announced the launch of The Gloria Bond Clunie Playwright's Festival, a new play development initiative supporting writers and offering the public an opportunity to view new plays. This festival will take place over two weekends (May 24-26th and May 31-June 2nd) at the FJT's home, the Noyes Cultural Center in Evanston. Tickets are on sale now.
