TDC Attends Recent North Country Chamber Events

The staff at TDC happily attended the recent events organized by the North Country Chamber of Commerce. These in-person events included the Annual Dinner, State of County, City and Town Address, and the St. Patrick's Day breakfast. We were happy to join our local community again as we celebrated local businesses and community members. Congratulations to all the 2022 business awardees and to Janet Duprey, the 2022 Irish Person of the year!

CV-TEC Offers an Open House for Prospective Students

Interested community members are able to attend an Open House at CV-TEC main campus and their satellite campus, both in Plattsburgh. CV-TEC offers several exciting programs to share and staff and faculty will be available to answer any questions about career clusters. Attendees will be able to take a tour, meet with teachers, experience demonstrations, see the classrooms and discuss financial aid opportunities.

Canada Drops COVID-19 Testing Requirements for Vaccinated Individuals

North Country officials are pleased Canada is dropping the COVID-19 testing requirements.

As of April 1, Canada will no longer require a negative antigen test to cross into the country. It is still requiring all travelers to be fully vaccinated and have proof of that vaccination.

Testing is still required for air travel.

CV-TEC students from the Plattsburgh Main, Plattsburgh Satellite and Mineville Campuses competed at the Annual NYS SkillsUSA Area III Regional Competitions on 3/16 in Schenectady, New York. Several CV-TEC students placed in the top five of their respective competitions!
