TLC recognizes the recent rise in COVID positive cases in our community. We continue to monitor the data and will inform you of any changes to our Health and Safety Guidelines should they be adjusted.
We continue to ask that our families and caregivers be active participants in the process by testing your child(ren) on a weekly basis. Please do not send your child to school if they are experiencing any COVID-like symptoms.
TLC is participating in the at-home rapid testing kit program. Please opt-in for biweekly test kit distribution, fill out this form.
Additionally, if a student begins to exhibit signs of COVID-19 during the school day, we will provide testing on-campus. Consent is required to participate; please fill out this online form.
Please Note: Due to the availability of COVID-19 vaccines, the at-home rapid testing program and the consent for at-school testing, TLC is no longer conducting contact tracing at school. Please refer to our Flow Chart for guidelines about our protocols.
Family ASL Classes:
We are offering FREE ASL classes for our TLC Families. Our Level II class is FULL but our Level I class still has spots available. Class will begin Monday, May 16th at 6:00 PM on Zoom. If you would like to take our Level I ASL Class, please register by filling out this form by 12 PM on Monday.
I believe with the recent weather we’re seeing, we can feel like it’s springtime now! Plus, the pollen will start coming soon!
This past Tuesday, our Educational Leaders led a series of assemblies by departments to discuss the incident on campus on Monday. This gave each department an opportunity to have discussions with the leaders about how we can support one another. After Tuesday’s assembly, students continued their discussions among grades during morning meetings, and some students made posters and went outside to write positive messages for the community.
MCAS will continue for the next couple of weeks. Please check this newsletter for upcoming dates.
For our students who participated in athletics this year, we have our Athletic Awards event on June 2. Keep an eye out from the Athletic Department for news.
Seniors are winding down to their final days. As of today, they have 14 days of classes before “Graduation Week” the week of June 6! That week they have the senior trip, graduation rehearsal, and graduation ceremonies!
Have a great weekend!
