Library News

April has been a busy but slow month for the library. With Testing season in full swing, the library has had to adjust with closures, relocations, and staffing for the month of April. Yet, the numbers for this month so far are nothing to be ashamed of!

We have some upcoming important dates:

  • May 17th is the day all library books are due for the school year! This allows the library to perform inventory and see how many books are still out and about at the end of the year.

Some highlights include: Some curricular highlights has been Ms. Carpenter helping Ms. Dupont revamp her Sociology capstone project. Ms. Carpenter will be co-teaching Sociology on and off for the rest of this cycle. These sociology classes have gone through the entire process to conduct research. The students have generate hypotheses based on topics they are interested in, conducted literature reviews using research databases, and conducted their own primary research by creating unbiased surveys that tie to their working hypothesis. At the end of the school year they will present their findings to their teacher and classmates.
