ASCENSION EVENING PRAYER - MAY 9 at 7PM
We have every reason to joyfully celebrate Christ’s ascension and his sitting at God’s right hand! At Faith we celebrate this special day worshiping our Ascended Lord with joy, praise, and special music.
Everyone is cordially invited to join us for a special Evening Prayer service on Thursday, May 9 at 7 p.m. as we recall, with thanksgiving, Christ's ascension and what it means for us who look for his return.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. —John 14:3

OFFICE CONSTRUCTION IS PROGRESSING!
When you’re at church this weekend, take a look around again. The construction on Faith’s new offices and conference room is progressing nicely (the drywall is up)! Accommodations remain in place to facilitate the normal weekly schedule of classes and events so there will be no interruption in the schedule.
These are exciting times! We praise the Lord for all his blessings!

GREEN TEAM
Do you have teens who need service hours? Would you like to help them meet their goals AND save the church money while getting some fresh air and sunshine? Volunteering on a Green Team may be the answer!
Please call the Faith office at 847-395-1660 or email Jeremy Lohman at ministrysupport@faithantioch.org if you are interested in serving in this way.

TELLERS
Have you ever wanted to serve but it's hard to find the time? Serving as a teller happens directly after Sunday service and teams serve once every 8 weeks! The teller teams are four tellers short so please consider helping to fill this need.

ADULT BIBLE CLASS
Grade 11+ and Adults
New Topic: “My Life for the Kingdom”

| |
WEDNESDAY EVENINGS at 7 PM
ADULT BIBLE CLASS
Adults
Topic: Job
Most Christians are familiar with the story of Job, the wealthy man who lost everything as part of Satan’s plan to destroy his faith. But few Christians have read the entire book, including the lengthy discourse between Job and his friends. Studying this book in its entirety gives Christians insight into the heart and mind of a suffering Christian, giving the readers an important framework for their own times of suffering.
| |
WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY
Adult women
New Topic: “Families of the Bible”
This 8-week course explores familiar Biblical family relationships - from Adam and Eve to Mary and her son Jesus - and the challenges those families faced. Each lesson examines Scriptural truths from a biblical family circumstance and applies them to modern family life.

PRAYER OF THE WEEK
Lord Jesus, the thought of your glorious ascension into heaven fills my heart with solace and comfort. Even though you returned to heaven as the God-man, you are still my human brother. And so you still empathize deeply with my every infirmity. At the Father's right hand you whisper to him my inmost needs, translating my sin-stained prayers and praises into words of beauty for our Father's ear. Having you, my beloved Brother, in heaven fills me with longing to join you in the Father's house. Now I have proof positive that your offering for my sins is acceptable to the Father. Glorious ascended Savior, thank you for my salvation. Amen.
