Personnel Update

FPC Family,

We are happy to announce we have hired a summer seminary youth intern! Jiyeong Seo is a student at Columbia Theological Seminary and she will begin at FPC on May 15th. We invite you to read her bio below and we are excited to have her join our family at First Presbyterian Church Covington! You are invited to send her a message of welcome to her FPC email: internfpccov@gmail.com

Hello, I am Jiyeong Seo. I am from South Korea, nurtured as a pastor's child in a small church devoid of a youth program. Despite this, I eagerly embraced the responsibility of leading Sunday School, finding joy in the process. My journey further unfolded through active involvement in campus ministry and volunteer roles, in which I seized opportunities to mentor and guide young adults on their path towards discipleship in Christ. Now, as I pursue my studies at Columbia Theological Seminary, my aspiration is to emerge as a Christian Educator, equipped to inspire and empower others on their spiritual journey.

Space Update:

Great news! We are updating our building with a new sprinkler system and installing a new fire system. Please be aware of work areas throughout the church building for the month of May. We will be sure to communicate all space changes if needed. Questions: contact Catherine or Neeley

Communication update:

Our email service has returned to normal. Thank you for your patience during the authentication updates posted in last week's e-news.

Our WiredWORD class meets in the Gathering Room which is on the upper floor, through the Fireplace Room and near the restrooms. This room is sometimes referred to as "the old choir room" or "the old sanctuary" by long-time members. This class explores current events and discusses how our faith intersects and informs our response.

Our Foundations Sunday School meets in the Adult Classroom which is on lower floor classroom wing at the end of the hall way on the left. This class explores the lectionary scriptures each week, taught by a rotation of teachers.

Youth Sunday School meets in the Youth Classroom which is on the lower floor classroom wing. It is the first classroom on the left, past the restrooms. The class explores the lectionary scriptures each week, often as they relate to the weekly sermon.

Children's Sunday School meets in the Children's Classroom which is the second door on the right of the lower floor classroom wing. Children learn about God's love through the bible, play, and song.
