Urban Tree Warriors

Each year, over 4000 new trees are being planted throughout the City of Marion to help cool, green and beautify our streets.

To ensure the best possible chance for our new street trees to flourish, we're seeking volunteers.

Join our Urban Tree Warriors program and volunteer to undertake tasks such as pruning, watering, removing suckers and/or re-tying trees to their stakes.

Volunteers will be provided with a 'Urban Tree Warrior' tool kit.
Get Exploring with Nature Apps

Try out the nature apps that help you identify wildlife in your area.

What type of bird is that, or plant? And should I be worried about that spider?

Join the community of naturalists that are sharing their wildlife findings online to be identified by other users.

Gazania Free Gardens

Do you have gazanias in your garden? Want to replace them with FREE local native plants?

Gazanias are a declared weed that harm our natural environment. They commonly 'escape' from gardens as their seeds easily spread.

Marino residents can come along to our Plant Swap Day on Saturday 4 June. Remove gazanias from your garden, take a photo and receive free native plants.

The event will feature live music, bush foods and drinks available for purchase, and market stalls - PLUS a range of free cultural experiences.
