Floodplain Management Community Survey
Give Us Your Thoughts. This Could Save You Money!
Palmetto Bay is looking to reduce its classification under the Community Rating System (CRS), which is part of the National Flood Insurance Program. Communities that participate in the CRS are given a classification by FEMA, which in turn serves as a basis for discount reductions on the residents' flood insurance premiums. The lower the CRS classification, the higher the discount percentage.

As part of the CRS rate reduction process, Palmetto Bay is developing a Floodplain Management Plan, which is a ten-step process to identify flood-related hazards and develop mitigation results.

This is a public process and WE NEED YOUR FEEDBACK. Tell us your thoughts and experience with flooding in Palmetto Bay and share your mitigation needs. Respond to the survey below ASAP to make sure your feedback is part of the process.

Scan the QR code below to participate.
A final public meeting will be held toward the end of this year to present the draft plan. Keep an eye out for announcements to join the meeting and provide feedback.

If you have additional information to share for inclusion in the plan, please email our Resilience Coordinator Andrea Candelaria or Abigail Moore, our planning consultant from Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions, Inc.
