January Blessings Box Drive- Winter Weather supplies
This month, help our neighbors stay warm with winter weather supplies. Donate foods like soups, chili, hot chocolate and more. Donations of winter hats, gloves and socks (new please!) are appreciated as well.
As always, diapers and wipes are a much requested item from the community.
Items can be placed directly into the Blessings Box, brought to church on Sundays or to the church office on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We are going to keep a basket in the FLC for donations!
Thanks for Loving your Neighbor, KUMC! As always, please help us maintain the integrity of our Blessings Box. Please no opened or used food or hygiene products.

Join us for our annual Fat Tuesday Pancake Dinner
Tuesday February 21 from 5:30-7:30pm!
All are welcome to join us for this meal. All monetary donations collected will be given to the Hays County Food Bank. We are hopeful to have the same great turnout and to see so many community members come and show their support. Our goal is to raise $1,000 for the food bank which will then be turned into 4,000 meals!
Why do we celebrate Fat Tuesday with a pancake dinner? Shrove Tuesday is the day before the Lenten season and people would make huge meals and celebrate to get rid of all of the fattening foods before observing the Lenten fast. Pancakes were great for this because they used up the eggs, milk and butter that wouldn't last during the 40 days of Lent. So... PANCAKE DINNER!

We need many volunteers in many areas. We also need folks to bring prepared food items. It is very important that all bacon or sausage is pre-cooked and that fresh fruit is cut up and ready to be served, as we will not have time or space to do this in the Family Life Center. For any questions or concerns please contact Lisa Bible at lisanicholeb@yahoo.com or 512-709-6098.
*Please note, all food items must be at the church, ready to be served, by 4:45pm. If you need to make different drop-off arrangements, please let Lisa know.

LEARNING THROUGH A LENS OF WONDER
Celebrate Wonder is a Sunday school curriculum that engages children’s natural sense of curiosity to help them understand God’s love. It creates a safe environment for kids to ask big questions — helping them explore the Bible in ways that feed their imagination and encourage creativity. Through carefully-selected Bible stories, songs, videos, and hands-on activities, Celebrate Wonder gives children the tools to explore their faith while incorporating it into their daily lives.
