~Easter Sunday~
Resurrection of The Lord - 11 a.m. Service
Sermon Text: Acts 10:34-43 NRSV
Sermon Title: "Lord of All"
34 Then Peter began to speak to them: “I truly understand that God shows no partiality, 35 but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him. 36 You know the message he sent to the people of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ—he is Lord of all. 37 That message spread throughout Judea, beginning in Galilee after the baptism that John announced: 38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power; how he went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him. 39 We are witnesses to all that he did both in Judea and in Jerusalem. They put him to death by hanging him on a tree; 40 but God raised him on the third day and allowed him to appear, 41 not to all the people but to us who were chosen by God as witnesses, and who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead. 42 He commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one ordained by God as judge of the living and the dead. 43 All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.”
Praise & Worship

Prelude         "Lift High the Cross" arr. by Carolyn Hamlin

Opening         # 216, vs.1+2+3 Christ the Lord is Risen Today
1 Christ the Lord is risen today, Alleluia!
All creation join to say, Alleluia!
Raise your joys and triumphs high, Alleluia!
Sing, O heavens, and earth reply, Alleluia!

2 Lives again our glorious king; Alleluia!
Where, O death, is now thy sting? Alleluia!
Jesus died, our souls to save, Alleluia!
Where your victory, O grave? Alleluia!

3 Love's redeeming work is done, Alleluia!
Fought the fight, the battle won, Alleluia!
Death in vain forbids him rise, Alleluia!
Christ has opened paradise. Alleluia!

Special Music     Just for Me by Donnie McClurkin

Closing          # 226 He Lives! (all verses)
1 I serve a risen Saviour, He's in the world today
I know that He is living, whatever men may say
I see His hand of mercy, I hear His voice of cheer
And just the time I need Him He's always near [Refrain]
[Refrain]
He lives (He lives), He lives (He lives), Christ Jesus lives today
He walks with me and talks with me
Along life's narrow way
He lives (He lives), He lives (He lives), Salvation to impart
You ask me how I know He lives?
He lives within my heart

2 In all the world around me
 I see His loving care,
And though my heart grows weary,
 I never will despair;
I know that He is leading,
 Through all the stormy blast;
The day of His appearing
 Will come at last.

3 Rejoice, rejoice, O Christian Lift up your voice and sing
Eternal hallelujahs to Jesus Christ, the King
The Hope of all who seek Him, the Help of all who find
None other is so loving, so good and kind
He lives (He lives), He lives (He lives), Christ Jesus lives today
He walks with me and talks with me
Along life's narrow way [Refrain]

Postlude         "Hallelujah" from Messiah  by G.F.Handel
Karen O'Linn died Tuesday evening. Her sister, Jackie Butler has suffered the loss of both sisters since Colleen died six weeks ago. You may send condolences to Jackie and Dale Butler at 1881 Running Cedar Trail, Lewisville, NC 27023.
We are reminded at this time every year, of the words of Job 19:25
"I know that my redeemer lives, and that in the end He will stand on the earth!"
Pray for the family as they remember their loved ones.

Please find the prayer list below,
and sincerely pray for ALL of God's creation.

PRAYER HAS DIVINE POWER TO DEMOLISH STRONGHOLDS.

"4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world.
On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.
5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up
against the knowledge of God,
and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ."

Help is always needed! Spiritually, physically and verbally.
The shelter has a year-round
list of needs that are always appreciated!
They especially have shortages
of men's deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors, and socks.
Food items are canned meats and #10 size canned fruits, vegetables & applesauce. Please sit your donations under the shelter, next to FCC's parking lot, at the set of double doors with a mailbox.

Proverbs 19:17
Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord,
and he will reward them for what they have done.

Proverbs 31:8-9
Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves,
for the rights of all who are destitute.
Speak up and judge fairly;
defend the rights of the poor and needy.
Crisis Control Ministry
My Fellow Christians,

For the month of April, Crisis Control Ministry has requested
INSTANT OATMEAL for the Food of the Month program
that we as a congregation participate in.

Why, you ask, as the weather is getting warmer and we generally think of oatmeal as a cold weather cereal? Well, the answer to that is the Ministry has a list of items they collect all year to fill their pantry shelves.

They strive to have good nutrition in the food gifts their clients receive.
Actually, oatmeal doesn’t have to be for breakfast anymore. It is a wholesome grain product that can be enjoyed anytime of day if the need or want arises.

Please add INSTANT OATMEAL to your grocery list during April and place it in the white container in the Administrative Foyer.

As always, your gift will be good for the heart of those who receive it,
and also to the heart of the giver.
