Student Spotlight - Rakesh Dasapathri

Hey Raiders,

My name is Rakesh Dasapathri, and I was born and bred in India. I visited most of the states in South India as part of my career and travel interests. Then I moved to the USA to fulfill my dream of pursuing a Master’s degree in Computer Science at Wright State University. I am passionate, proactive and intuitive person who loves to code, learn new technologies and explore them, that passion drives me crazy all the time. My major interest is to code in
python :)

My kind of leisure time is to spend browsing YouTube on current affairs and foodie channels. I do have an Instagram page featuring my cooked dishes of course. My favorite and master dish is Hyderabadi Dum Biryani which I cook the best of all.
While I was an undergraduate student, I was elected as the Computer Science department representative that paved my interest to turn out to be a leader, which I still thirst to be at Wright State as well.

Idiomatically, I would say – “WSU is a university full of opportunities”. In India, on my research, I heard a lot about it from my friends who were alumni of WSU, so I decided to carve my name under the list of Computer Science graduate students in the records of Wright State University. Not least of all, my supreme interest is to pursue a doctor’s degree at WSU in any of the areas in computer science or data science.

Maintaining status on OPT is still the same as usual
You are permitted only 90 days of unemployment between the start and end dates on your EAD card. In addition, you are required to report the following information through the SEVP Portal while on OPT within 10 days from the change:
