"My center is the heart of every lover.
Every lover with a heart that loves Baba is a center."

Meher Baba
At Meher Center, 1956
Dear Meher Center Friends & Family,

A loving Jai Baba. It has been so long since we’ve seen you all here at the Center. With the passage of time and the changing of things with regard to the Pandemic, naturally many who love the Center are curious about its reopening. While we at the Center look forward to welcoming overnight guests, we wanted to give you all an update.

The Center has no immediate plans to open the cabins and other retreat buildings. Our feeling is that the vaccination rate in the United States has to be a great deal higher, and closer to herd immunity for that to happen safely. Of course we will keep you updated and stay connected with all during this time.

Sixty years ago, in 1961, Meher Baba said:

“I am the One Who is always lost and found among mankind. It is your love for yourself that loses me, and it is your love for me that finds me. Love me above everything, for now while I am in your midst, I am most easily found as I really am.”*

In Baba’s love and service,

"Sacredness was all around me"
Tom Riley first heard about Meher Baba in 1954 in his hometown of Woodstock. Here he shares the detailed account of his first meeting with Baba at Meher Center in 1958, including the divine effulgence that he experienced at the Lagoon Cabin. Speaking about the submersion in Baba's presence at the Center, Tom reflects on Baba's messages to him and their continuing culmination in his life.

"The luckiest man on the face of the earth"
James McGrew was a student at Harvard in the 1960’s with the group of seekers that included Rick Chapman and Alan Cohen. In this audio recording, he describes his journey of exploring spirituality, being drawn to India, finding out about Baba, and finally getting an appointment to meet Him during His seclusion. James then speaks in detail about his one five-minute interview with the Master, and how Baba’s love, insight and naturalness stayed with him for the rest of his life.
