ABA's Law Day Outstanding Activity Award
The State Bar is proud to announce that it has received a Law Day Outstanding Activity Award from the American Bar Association for the Women in the Profession Committee’s 2021 Law Day Student Contest. As a basis for its decision, the ABA noted that the program “achieved broad outreach to the community and engaged target audiences in meaningful conversations to help foster understanding about the rule of law in our society.”  Though it 2021 was the program’s inaugural year, the Contest received entries from 128 students in grades 4-12 from every region of the State. The Women in the Profession Committee is grateful to have received support from the Supreme Court of Appeals, the Cabell, Monongalia, and Harrison County bar associations, and countless judges, lawyers, and educators throughout the State.
The 2022 Law Day Student Contest Packet is available on the State Bar’s website. The entry deadline is April 1.
