In Memoriam

DCPC member Leonard McRee died April 25th. Please keep Beverly and their family in your prayers.

A memorial service is scheduled for this upcoming Sunday, May 5th, at 3:00 in the Sanctuary with a reception following on the steps and patio right outside the Sanctuary. Please note that this is a change from what was announced this last Sunday!

You can read more about Leonard here.

What a fun evening the SAGES had at the Cannonballers game last week! They even had spectacular fireworks.

This Sunday is the Sixth Sunday of Easter. Peter Henry is preaching his sermon, "Curators and Property Managers" based on

1 Corinthians 11:23-26.

Communion will be served by intinction at all three services.

At our 11:00 service, we will recognize and bid farewell to 11 graduating Davidson seniors who have been a part of the life of our church throughout their time in college: Rachel Alexander-Lee, Shawn An, Sydney Harris, Allie Hay, Maggie Kinton, Oriana Belle Martinez, Khwahish Sharma, Ellie Stewart, Hallie Stewart, Caroline Thompson, and Mary Nell Todd. These students have been a part of UKirk, volunteered with the pre-school and children’s and youth ministries, participated in our music ministries, led in worship as preachers and liturgists, and so much more. We have been so blessed by their presence among us and by their willingness to share their gifts and skills with us. We wish them all the best in the next phase of their journeys and send them out with our love and our prayers.

*We will also celebrate the baptism of Frank Alexander Rankin IV, son of Frank Alex Rank, III and Sharon Rankin, at our 11:00 a.m. service of worship.

All of our Sunday services are live-streamed to Facebook and You Tube. Free childcare is provided for all services. You can also listen to our 11:00 services at WDAV (FM 89.9).

Campus Ministry Update On Sunday at our congregational meeting, the congregation of Davidson College Presbyterian Church voted to call the Rev. Caitlyn Zold as our Associate Pastor for Campus Ministry. If the Presbytery of Charlotte approves the call, Caitlyn will be installed in the fall when students return.

Thank you to everyone who gave to the Opening Doors capital campaign and therefore helped to created our Campus Ministry Endowment. You have enabled us to move from temporary and part-time ministry to long-term, stable funding and leadership.
