  • Flood Watch, through 7:00 a.m. Thursday, May 20th.

This Afternoon
A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 83. Southeast wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Tonight
Showers and thunderstorms likely. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 73. Southeast wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.

Wednesday
Showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. High near 79. Southeast wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.

Wednesday Night
Showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Low around 68. East wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%.

Thursday
Showers and thunderstorms. High near 80. Southeast wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

Thursday Night
A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 72.

Lake Houston
Lake Houston Spillway Gates continue to be 100% open and will remain that way until this inclement weather threat leaves our area.

Lake Houston is currently at 43.03 ft, which is slightly above normal pool 42.4 feet. The Lake level will continue to rise as we receive run off from all surrounding tributaries. Again, the gates are open and will remain open.

Lake Conroe is currently at a level of 201.15 ft, and Lake Conroe is releasing a small amount less than 530 cfs. Lake Conroe will return to seasonal lowering levels of 200 feet at the conclusion of this weather pattern.

The SJRA remains in communication with City of Houston officials.
Coastal Flooding Potential
Clear Lake & Southeast Houston residents please be on notice for the potential for Coastal Flooding early tomorrow morning (1 a.m.).

It is encouraged for residents to limit travel this evening through tomorrow due to the threat of Coastal Flooding.
