This Lent, check out our new video series Ground Floor Faith, where we deal with some of the grounding questions of faith in the time that it takes to ride our elevator to the ground floor. These short videos will be posted every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday during Lent on our Facebook, Instagram, TikTok (new!) and YouTube accounts. 

Small Group Information

Beginning TONIGHT

Join us TONIGHT and each Wednesday (2/21-3/20) during Lent at 5:30 for small groups, a provided dinner, and worship (Holden Evening Prayer) around the dinner table.

• 5:30 - Small Groups (activities for children provided)
• 6:15 - Provided Dinner
• 6:45 - Worship around the Dinner Table
• 7:15 - On the way home

The Wednesday Lenten offering will support Literacy Together.

The Gospel of Mark, A Beginners Guide to the Good News, w/ Amy Jill Levine

Join Pastor Matt for his last week of teaching on the gospel of Mark. Each session we'll hear from renowned New Testament Scholar Amy Jill Levine via a 10 minute video and have plenty of time for discussion.

Lose the Loan Initiative

More information will be arriving in your mailbox within the next few days.

This June our smallest loan will come due with a balance of $46,000. Instead of the low rates to which we had been accustomed, a renewal of this loan would right now come with a 6.5% interest rate. Rather than use the funds entrusted to our congregation to pay interest, our congregation council and finance team would very much like to free up funds for active ministry. Can you help us lose this loan and avoid committing to years of further payments?

WNC Baptist Fellowship Potluck

February 25th

Black History Month is here again! Before February passes, let's celebrate! On February 25, WNC Baptist Fellowship will have a celebratory worship at their 11:15am service followed by a potluck lunch in their fellowship hall. Let's show our support to these folks. Lutheridge Summer Camp - Scholarships Available

Register on or before March 15th to receive the Early Bird Discount

Faith based summer camp is one of the best ways to instill faith in young people, and St. Mark’s wants to help your child(ren) attend camp this summer. We are blessed to have Lutheridge, Lutherock, and Camp Agape all right here in NC, and if your child(ren) attends one of these Lutheran camps, St. Mark’s will contribute $300 per child towards their registration fee. Easter Lilies

It is time to order Easter Lilies. Please submit this form, contact the church office, or fill out the tear and share section in the back of your MARKings on Sunday morning. When purchasing the lilies, please indicate if there is a special dedication to be noted. Each lily cost $8 this year. Please note “Lilies” on your check.

All orders must be submitted by March 24th.
