for Sunday June 13, 2021
Pastor's Note
The State reopens next Tuesday. We will open our church 730AM-5PM every day starting Tuesday. Sunday Masses will be offered indoors and outdoors starting Father’s Day (a week from Sunday). Our Fiesta continues in-person in three weeks. We are learning about the Holy Spirit via Zoom. We are preparing for a season of Alpha. We are training new ministers. Our summer camps are ready. Our St Vincent de Paul and Catholic Charities Food distribution are active. This community is alive and well and ready to welcome everybody back.  
Read on for how you can be a part of the re-opening. Join us this Sunday night at 6PM for a Reopening Prayer Vigil and Procession with Our Lady of Fatima. Details for Deacon Joe Alvarez’s funeral below.

Our Lady of Fatima Procession, June 13
There will be a special Evening Prayer and Procession with Our Lady of Fatima procession on Sunday, June 13, 6PM. A special Our Lady of Fatima Mass will be offered July 13, Aug 13, Sep 13, Oct 13 7PM.
Reopening Changes at SJV
Starting June 15, the COVID restrictions will be changed in the State and County. Our Bishop has asked us to move in phases for our reopening. Starting next weekend of June 19/20, Masses will be offered inside the Church and outside in the Pavilion. The school parking lot will be reserved for in-car participation outdoor Pavilion Masses. The only Community Center Parking Lot Masses starting June 20 will be the 8AM Mass. All Masses will still require masks to be worn. Social distance inside the church will be maintained. Training for All Ministers
All new and returning ministers should attend the following trainings offered bilingually 6:30-7:30PM in the Church:
  • Lectors on Thursday, June 17
  • Communion Ministers on Monday, June 21
  • Altar Servers on Tuesday, June 22
  • Ushers and Mass Coordinators on Wednesday, June 23
  • An additional new lector training is set for Thursday, June 24 630-830PM in the Church.

FIESTA RETURNS JUNE 26
The second part of the Fiesta is June 26 and in-person with tables and chairs out in the Community Center Parking Lot. Join the tacos, socially distant Bingo/loteria, live music, Mass and Social Outreach Fair led by our Comité Hispano and PACT. All food must be pre-ordered here. Bilingual Mass is 5PM. Games, food and music starts 6PM. Social Outreach Fair begins at 3PM including Immigration Services, Housing Services, St Vincent de Paul, Catholic Charities to volunteer or to receive. 
Youth Fiesta 
Youth grades 6-12 
You are invited to a relaxing afternoon of games, music and food.
Sunday June 27 at 4pm in the Community Center. 
Wild Goose: Who is the Holy Spirit? 
The next session is this Monday, June 14, 700-830PM. This SJV Summer Faith Series will study the Holy Spirit with small groups via Zoom every other Monday in English and Spanish. Watch the trailer here.

🌞🌞 Summer Vacation Camp 🌞🌞
June 21-25 | 9am –1 pm | SJV Campus 
Looking for activities for your children this summer? Register to attend a weeklong, day camp here at Saint John Vianney. June 21st -25th from 9a m – 1 pm, we will be hosting 50 children in grades K-5TH in our Summer Vacation Camp focused on prayers. This camp we will revisiting our basics, reconnecting with our faith and community. Children will be offered a space of prayer, song, games and crafts. Registrations are now open and available here. 🌞🌞Summer camp Volunteers Needed 🌞🌞
In person meetings: June 7, 9, 14, 16 @ 6 pm at the SJV Community Center
We are also in need of volunteers for this camp, we will be meeting in person every Monday and Wednesday at 6 pm in the SJV Community Center. All middle school and high school students are welcome to join as volunteers. If you or someone you know is interested in helping, join us or reach out to Joselyn.

Camp Thrive is for incoming first-fifth graders that focuses on Communication (brainstorming, leadership, journaling), Recreation, Spiritual Reflection, and Technology (cloud computing, digital photography, website, blog). Institute for Leadership and Ministry
Open Registration

ILM Registration is open! Answer your call to assist leading within your community! If you participate in some form of pastoral ministry and you want to improve your skills to serve better your community then explore attending the ILM this year. The ILM is accepting nominations for the academic year 2021-2022, classes begin September 2021.

Faith Formation Registrations  
Faith Formation registrations are now open and available online or in person in our parish office. All those looking to prepare for the sacraments of initiation, Baptism, First Communion and or Confirmation please visit our parish website to register online or stop by our parish office to pick up the registration. Students who completed their first year of preparation for First Communion and/or Confirmation must register once again. Please note that you will need a baptismal certificate at the time of registration.
