Introducing your Alumni Executive
|
|
Greetings!
It is my honour to represent the Alumni Association Executive Council (AAEC) in our May issue of The Loop! My journey as a Georgian alumnus began in 2017 when I completed the Honours Bachelor of Business Administration – Golf Management program, and again in 2020 when I completed the Big Data Analytics program to receive my second Georgian credential. I joined the AAEC following graduation as a way of staying connected with the college community that contributed so positively to my career and life.
On behalf of the AAEC, I bring congratulations to our council chair Arjun Batra (class of 2007), who was honoured with the Board of Governors Distinguished Alumni award this past month, along with Brad Bowden (class of 2009 and 2013), and you can read about all of this year’s award recipients below.
This month’s issue of The Loop also shares stories that honour National Nursing Week and National Police Week, and Georgian was honoured to receive a historic donation this past month which you’ll read about in our News from the Frontline section.
Remember, Georgian and our Alumni Association is here to support you in whatever ways we can. We also want to hear what you’ve been up to, so be sure to share your successes, stories and updates.
With best wishes for the year ahead,
Jordan Carbone (class of 2017 and 2020)
Member, AAEC

The Georgian College Golf Classic is sold out! This is a precedent-setting result and we’d like to thank everyone who has registered to play in this year's tournament, presented by BMO Bank of Montreal. The tournament is being hosted at The Club at Bond Head with all proceeds supporting student awards and scholarships and our Frontline Support: Health-care Heroes Closer to Home campaign.
Help us reach a new level of success for the 2022 tournament. Five hole sponsors ($750 each) remain and are going fast which offer great brand visibility, and our team is looking for donations of items (tickets, experiences, technology, luxury goods) to add new value and excitement to our raffle auction. Please reach out to Christina Luksa if you can help .
