New Website Launch
Great news!  Phase 1 of the new Borough of Morris Plains website will launch next week at the same URL: www.morrisplainsboro.org! The primary goal of the new site is to make important information easy to access. Many thanks to residents who provided feedback in last year's Communication Survey to help identify the information you most need on the site, and to those who shared beautiful photos of the Borough.

The site will continually be enhanced with new photos, features and information, and we are working on the option to make payments online in an upcoming Phase 2.

Please be aware that some individuals may see the new site a few hours or a day before others, but rest assured that important information will be available on both platforms during the transition so nothing will be missed. You can continue to contact webmaster@morrisplainsboro.org with content updates and technical issues. Stay tuned for more news!

Field of Flags

Watnong VFW Post 3401 will be doing the “Field of Flags” for the July 4th celebration.

A Field of Flags is an opportunity for individuals, businesses, and communities to Honor our Fallen and to show support and honor active-duty military, veterans and first responders in a tangible and visible way. At least 100 flags will fly for one full week. We will run the event from June 29th through July 6th and these flags will fly in a Tribute to Service Above Self.

Each sponsored flag will have a marker tag on it to recognize the person who is being Honored. These United States of America Flags are 3’x5’ flags with 6 ft. poles. The event will take place on the corner of Littleton Rd. and Tabor Rd. by the Gazebo.

Donations of $50.00 for each flag should be made out to Watnong VFW Post 3401 and submitted by June 14th.

Our Veterans of Foreign Wars Post donates to worthy Veterans and Community Organizations such as The VFW National Home for Children, Community Hope, USO, Morris Habitat for Humanity and Cornerstone Family Services, The Morris Minutemen, Morris Plains PBA and the Morris Plains Fire Dept., just to name a few.

The address for the VFW is:
Watnong VFW Post 3401
45 Tabor Road
Morris Plains, NJ 07950
973-455-9732
Resident donations are always appreciated at Interfaith Food Pantry and Resource Center - (mcifp.org).
