EXPLORING THE THREE A's: ALLYSHIP, ADVOCACY AND ACTIVISM
A timely new workshop offers lessons that are applicable on an interpersonal level on up to global conflicts
Parents, Educators/Teachers & Students in Action: Our very name and mission promotes purposeful action and education, and our newest workshop created and conducted by PESA interns couldn’t come at a better time.

Fallout from the COVID-19 global pandemic, concern over the war in Ukraine and increases in domestic hate, bias and violence are just a few of the profound challenges we all are faced with today.
PESA has been recruited to conduct “Exploring the Three A’s: Allyship, Advocacy and Activism” at numerous area high school classrooms as part of the school day curriculum. The workshop is currently being conducted remotely by the presenters to live class audiences and teachers. The actions of Allyship, Advocacy and Activism are presented to the students with thought-provoking videos, small group discussions and action plans to emphasize the micro and macro impact we have on each other in this complex world.
The goal: Empowering youth to become model citizens, to use their voices for the greater good and to participate in community action peacefully and thoughtfully. The workshops were created to help students understand these vital concepts and the powerful impacts humans have on each other and the consequences of being a bystander in the world.

Allyship declares “I will help you in this!” Advocacy declares “I support this!” Activism declares “I will make the ongoing, daily and personal choice to fight for this!"

PESA has and will continue to be a change agent for youth to find their voices and develop an interest in civic engagement. If you’re an educator interested in having this workshop or a host of others made presented to your class, contact PESA.
