GiGiFit Dash for Down Syndrome

Join us for our third annual Dash for Down Syndrome: A competitive 5k, 1-mile family-friendly walk, and kids dash for acceptance! Whether you're setting a goal to run your first 5k or want to do something fun and active with your whole family, come out and help us raise awareness and spread our message of acceptance for all! Save the date for Saturday, June 1st, 2024! More details to come.

Help us surpass our numbers from last year! In 2023:

• 118 people took the challenge
• 17 teams pledged acceptance for all
• Over $26,000 raised to support free, purposeful programming at GiGi's Playhouse Canton

Runner Incentives:

• Fastest Male runner: $250
• Fastest Female runner: $250
• Fastest runner in each age group: A special mug!

Team Incentives:

• Top 2 fundraising teams will each have a front window at the Playhouse with your participant's photo
• Teams 3-6 will win various gift card prizes
• Largest team will get a framed photo displayed inside the Playhouse

Understanding Traumatic Brain Injury

Join the Medina County Board of DD and Lauren Holly, Executive Director of the Brain Injury Association of Ohio, for a presentation on Traumatic Brain Injury. This presentation will cover basic information on brain injury, as well as give information on resources and advocacy for individuals with TBI.

Connecting for Kids-Music Therapy

This program is designed for families and their children, ages 0 - 6 years, who have concerns about development. Join us for a hands-on program designed to teach families how to use music to improve their child's academic, motor, communication and social skills as well as behavior.
