CDC recommends vaccinated people don't need to wear masks in public
-
Last week, the CDC announced that if you're fully vaccinated, you may resume activities you were doing before the pandemic with a mask, except where required by local or state laws (including for individual businesses).
-
What does this announcement mean for Oregon? It depends on the county and individual businesses. Grocery chain Fred Meyer announced that it will still require masks in its stores, for example. Otherwise, it's up to the individual business to set their own rules. Some people, however, aren't ready to give up masks.
-
What does the new mask guidance mean for Oregon businesses? Some retail or grocery store employees may be tasked with asking customers to voluntarily share their vaccine status or else wear a mask.

- As states start to decline their supply of federally-designated Covid-19 vaccines, the US government is making plans to send 20 million vaccines to other countries by June. The US has kept nearly all of its Covid-19 vaccine supply up until now.
